QA/QC Mechanical & Piping Engineer (6 months) Location: Project: Large-Scale E-scrap Recycling Plant
¿About the Project
We are supporting a high-profile industrial project in Southern Spain, focused on recycling electronic waste to produce copper. The plant is technically complex and emphasizes the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. The project involves a large on-site technical team and multiple contractors, offering a dynamic and challenging industrial environment.
The QA/QC Mechanical & Piping Engineer will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance across all mechanical and piping systems during construction and commissioning. Reporting to the Project QA Manager, you will work closely with site engineers, contractors, and HSE teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC plans for mechanical and piping systems.
Review engineering documentation, drawings, procedures, and fabrication plans.
Perform inspections and audits of mechanical and piping installations, identifying non-conformances and following up on corrective actions.
Collaborate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues.
Ensure materials, fabrication, and installation comply with project codes, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure systems operate as designed.
Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation and reporting.
Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in mechanical and piping systems for industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of piping codes, mechanical systems, welding standards, and inspection techniques.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound technical judgment in complex projects.
