At Hays, we are seeking a Head of Accounting for a unique opportunity to combine project leadership with operational management in a dynamic international environment.About the RoleYou will be responsible for two key missions:- Set up accounting operations in Bilbao for multiple European entities.- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring high-quality financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP.You will report to the Finance Director and work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple countries.Key Responsibilities- Lead the migration of accounting activities and build a high-performing team.- Manage all accounting operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, fixed assets, bank accounts.- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP.- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.- Act as the main point of contact for external and internal auditors.- Drive process improvements and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the Group.What We’re Looking For- Qualified accountant equivalent or in France DESCF/DEC- Proven experience in accounting transfer or Shared Service Center setup.- Strong background in statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP (French GAAP is a must).- Previous leadership experience managing accounting teams.- Experience in manufacturing and complex business environments.- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel;
