JOB PURPOSE
The primary function of this position is to provide after-sales technical support to GPI machinery customers, including the spare parts ordering process.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support technical questions and issues of GPI machinery customers, ensuring satisfaction and business relationships with customers
* Make quotations and process spare parts orders of GPI machinery customers according to the data received from customers or GPI Service members
* Search and verify technical data in the Engineering database or with the Engineering Department as necessary
* Monitor the supply and transportation of the parts until final delivery, keeping the customers informed in a timely manner
* Create recommended spare parts lists and preventive maintenance programs for GPI machinery.
* Ability to read 2D & 3D piece part drawings, assembly drawings, and part manuals for all types of machinery lines, to identify or verify proper part selection.
* Ability to design or modify existing piece parts and assembly drawings in 2D & 3D.
* Coordinate activities with other functional groups to maximize parts sales.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Intermediate degree/Higher degree preferably in mechanics or electro-mechanics. Knowledge of packaging or similar equipment is advantageous
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAP ERP system is advantageous
* Technical drawing interpretation and CAD experience required in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
* When machines are down, ability to promptly troubleshoot and research all available options to quickly develop an action plan with customer and other internal work groups to supply required parts as quickly as possible
* Technical skill sets based upon education or previous experience
* Good communication, presentation, business writing, documentation & organization skills
