Business Analyst, EU Central Operations AnalyticsAmazon Logistics (AMZL) is transforming the future of last‐mile delivery through Central Operations, a strategic initiative that is revolutionizing route planning, scheduling and delivery execution. We are seeking a Process Analyst to join our EU Central Operations team and play an important role in enhancing our delivery network operations through data‐driven insights and process improvements.
In this role you will work at the intersection of operations and analytics, focusing on challenging analytical problems that impact our intra‐week forecasting and capacity management processes. You will partner with cross‐functional teams to devise and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency while learning to design longer‐term strategic approaches to complex challenges.
You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects, applying your analytical expertise to generate insights that influence business decisions. Using your advanced SQL, programming and analytical capabilities you will create dashboards and reports that enable quick operational decisions and help avoid in‐station volume risks. You will partner with various stakeholders, including Operations and technical teams, to streamline processes and implement improvements.

Key Job Responsibilities
Develop diagnostic analyses to identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
Design and implement solutions to automate processes and support decisions
Analyze complex data sets to generate insights that drive business decisions
Partner with stakeholders to streamline business processes and drive efficiencies
Optimize daily operational tasks to enhance team productivity
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities
Technical Execution
Apply advanced SQL queries to extract and analyze data from multiple sources
Create and maintain dashboards for operational visibility and decision making
Apply difficult transformations within spreadsheets and analytical tools
Develop and document repeatable analytical processes
Validate data quality and flag issues to upstream owners
Project Management
Work on one or more projects to drive decisions and actions
Provide input on prioritization and proactively identify connections between requests
Design short‐term solutions while learning to develop strategic approaches
Balance trade‐offs between time, quality, and resources
Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with SME teams, Operations, and other technical teams
Influence other teams to meet shared goals
Present analyses and recommendations to leadership
Build effective working relationships across functions
Begin to mentor junior team members

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or another business/analytical discipline
Experience in a business analyst, data analyst or equivalent role
Knowledge of SQL and Excel
Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders and cross‐functional teams
Advanced degree (preferred)
Experience with Redshift
Experience writing business requirements documents, functional specifications and use cases
Experience with one or more industry analytics/visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g., t‐test, chi‐squared)
Relevant experience using business intelligence reporting tools (OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.)
