This job will be based in the Vulcain Engineering head office in Barcelona, with regular travel to other Spanish group entities and Paris.
Purpose of the Chief Financial Officer
Serve as the focal point for all financial and legal Spanish accountancy aspects in Spain.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee all Spanish companies as well as the Iplan entity in Colombia (currently 5 companies: 1 holding and 4 operating companies).
* Ensure compliance with Spanish law and company policies.
* Ensure adequate insurance coverage.
* Drive the company’s financial planning, including annual budgeting and forecasting.
* Prepare reliable reports and KPIs for Spanish businesses.
* Consolidate reports and KPIs for Spain.
* Liaise with the Group Finance Team in France for group reporting and integrate this into the Spanish teams.
* Participate in board meetings for each entity.
* Manage business and cost control, analyze variances, and develop improvements.
* Optimize cash flow and working capital requirements.
* Manage financial accounts and the annual audit process, including relationships with Spanish and Colombian auditors.
* Assist with Spanish acquisition projects and integrate new acquisitions into reporting processes.
* Implement reporting tools, processes, and group strategies within new subsidiaries.
* Harmonize accounting tools and procedures.
* Manage employee benefits packages and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
* Degree in Accountancy or relevant qualification.
Work Experience
* Minimum of 5 years in a senior finance role.
* Experience with various accounting systems and tools.
* Proven track record of process improvements and driving change.
