L’Institut Català d’Oncologia (ICO) is initiating a selection process to incorporate a Specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the Duran i Reynals center (ICO Hospitalet), affiliated with the Cancer Screening Unit .
Main functions
* Collaborate in activities related to management, planning, monitoring, and evaluation of population-based cancer early detection programs (breast and colorectal).
* Participate in research activities of the unit : applying for grants, developing and executing projects, writing manuscripts.
* Disseminate knowledge of screening results and health promotion.
Other functions, responsibilities, and general competencies
* Monitoring of the screening process. Participation in evaluation and monitoring of screening programs.
* Promotion and dissemination of cancer prevention : creating materials and conducting informational sessions for professionals and the general population.
* Work in a multidisciplinary team.
* Database management and statistical analysis.
* Management and follow-up of incidents.
* Review and development of screening protocols.
* Collaboration in research activities and manuscript writing.
* Participation in quality-related tasks : designing and implementing internal data quality control processes and tracking indicators.
* Support to program coordinators in data analysis and report preparation.
* Represent the institution and unit in events or meetings as deemed appropriate.
What we offer
* Temporary contract via IT of the holder (minimum 7 months).
* Full-time schedule (1,668 hours / year – 39 hours / week).
* Contract conditions and salary will follow ICO regulations according to the collective agreement, professional group 1, AS-TGS, and candidate’s experience.
* Schedule : 4 days / week from 08 : 00 to 17 : 00 and 1 day / week from 08 : 00 to 15 : 00.
* Start date : Immediate upon completion of the selection process.
* Location : Catalan Institute of Oncology, Av. Granvia, 199-203, 08908 Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Requirements
* Degree in Medicine and Surgery (Licentiate / Grau).
* Specialist qualification in Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
* Official Master’s degree in Public Health.
Valued skills
* Experience in cancer screening activities.
* Handling and analysis of databases and statistical software.
* Proficiency with information systems.
Additional requirements include C1 level or higher in Catalan, high proficiency in English, a doctoral degree, participation in research projects with publications, and qualities such as resolution skills, initiative, leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.
