Global R&D Department? Then we might have the perfect job for you as Design Engineer (Mechanical) in Avanti Wind Systems Technology, S.L.
With reference to R&D Manager Wind Area and as part of the R&D Wind team, you will join an
exciting journey in a multinational company with a clear growth strategy and a relevant R&D
Department located in La Muela (Spain).
The R&D team is responsible for developing and maintaining products designs. Additionally, you provide support to the internal and external customers on products under the R&D team responsibility
This role will report directly to R&D Manager Wind Area.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mechanical products.
Test new designs and coordinate deployment of new designs and versions
Provide technical support internally and to customers.
Cooperate with other R&D team members and other departments on product development projects.
Create / Update / Maintain technical documentation for the products (drawings, material specifications, spare part lists, bill of materials, calculations, DFMEA, etc)
Product documentation managed in PDM software.
Cooperate on creating design guidelines, internal training, continuous improvement activities
Guideline for design and maintenance of products approved by manager
Qualifications & Competencies:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
Proficiency in CAD systems, ideally Autodesk Inventor and/or Creo Parametric
Strong self-managing abilities, time and prioritization skills
Proficient in written and spoken English language
Familiar with ERP and Product Data Management software
Proactive, organized and rigorous
Enjoy working in a multinational environment
Willing to travel occasionally worldwide
At least 3 years of experience in Mechanical design using 3D CAD Systems and creating technical documentation (2D drawings, specifications, bill of materials, etc.), prototyping and testing.
At least 3 years of experience in one the of the following fields: machinery, lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, ...), lifts for persons or vertical access in general.
Experience with structural calculations / finite element analysis is a plus.
