Job DescriptionAs part of our European 24‐month program, you will gain a wide breadth of exposure and experience across our key business units. You will continue to grow and develop your career through on‐the‐job and formal training, coaching and mentoring. At the end of the program you will be placed in a leading engineering role that suits your strengths, kick‐starting your career with Avient.
During the program you will rotate through various assignments:
Engineering : Join a small, experienced engineering team supporting the development of equipment used by Avient manufacturing sites. Focus on investments and projects of equipment for masterbatch production. Gain hands‐on experience in project management, design development, validation and launch of new equipment solutions, while supporting existing products. Work closely with internal and external manufacturing partners, liaise with internal stakeholders, and assist with technical issues and design updates.
Other key functions : Gain broad exposure across key parts of the business, potentially including short placements in Production and Technology. Meet plant management, EH&S and Finance.
Operations abroad : Visit manufacturing sites and equipment suppliers abroad. Gain hands‐on experience with different processes, technologies and working styles while encouraging cultural and cross‐functional understanding. Transfer insights and best practices back to add value in future roles.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Robotics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience, including internships or student assignments.
Desire to learn and make a difference in the polymer/chemical industry.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Languages: English and Spanish fluent.
EU Category B driving license.
