Electronics Team Lead | Neurotechnology
We're partnering with an innovative MedTech company developing next-generation technologies to improve the treatment of neurological conditions. The team is focused on advancing implantable and electronic systems that interface with the body to deliver meaningful clinical outcomes.
They are now looking for an Electronics Team Lead to take ownership of a growing engineering function and play a key role in bringing complex medical devices from concept through to commercialisation.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll sit at the heart of product development - leading an electronics engineering team while driving the design, development, and delivery of complex medical devices.
You'll work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and external partners to ensure electronic systems are developed to the highest standards and ready for scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing electronics engineering teamDrive end-to-end electronic development (architecture → design → verification → production)Own electronic system design, including hardware, embedded systems, and PCB developmentDefine and execute functional roadmaps for electronics capability, innovation, and product deliveryEnsure designs meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirementsOversee design control processes in line with ISO13485Define and implement test and validation strategies for electronic systemsManage supplier relationships and external development/manufacturing partnersBuild and maintain a strong supplier ecosystem aligned with product roadmapsCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration across hardware and system-level architectureCapture cross-project learnings to accelerate future product development cyclesMentor, coach, and grow engineering talent within the team
Your Background
Degree (BSc/MSc) in Electronics Engineering or similarProven experience developing complex electronic systems, ideally within MedTech or regulated environments5+ years' experience in industry, including full product development lifecycle exposure2+ years leading or managing technical teamsStrong hands-on expertise in electronic hardware design and embedded systemsExperience with PCB design, simulation tools (e.g. SPICE), and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)Familiarity with analog and digital design (implantable or high-precision systems a plus)Experience working with external suppliers and manufacturing partnersComfortable operating in a fast-paced, innovative environmentFluent in English (Spanish a plus)
