Salary: €60,000 – €75,000, depending on experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Group Accounting to join our finance team in Barcelona. This is a key position within the Group Finance function, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting across the Group. You will play a central role in maintaining compliance with IFRS and in driving consistency and excellence in financial governance across all subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
Group Accounting Leadership:
* Take ownership of the Group's accounting and reporting policies, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and relevant internal standards.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
* Oversee compliance with internal control frameworks and financial reporting requirements, ensuring a robust and transparent reporting environment across the Group.
Reporting Efficiency:
* Design and maintain an effective, efficient, and fast reporting process for all Group entities, supporting timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
* Financial Analysis:
* Lead the analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of Group companies, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for management decision-making.
IFRS Expertise:
* Act as a "Center of Competence" within the Group, preparing ad-hoc IFRS interpretations for complex business transactions and advising both Group management and subsidiary finance teams.
Audit Management:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the audit of the consolidated financial statements and individual Group companies.
Continuous Improvement:
* Support ongoing optimization of accounting processes, systems, and reporting standards, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous development within the finance team.
About You
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in Group accounting and consolidation under IFRS, ideally in an international or multi-entity organization.
* Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience providing expert guidance on complex accounting topics.
* Proven track record in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Fluent in English, German and Spanish
