Position Overview
SEL is seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager to lead sales activities across Iberia and manage partners in Southern Europe. This role is ideal for a strategic sales professional with strong customer and stakeholder exposure, deep understanding of power systems, and a proven ability to drive long-term business growth in technical environments.
The position will be based in Madrid, with flexibility for other locations within Spain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Introduce SEL products and services to new and existing customers through site visits, technical demonstrations, training sessions, and remote communications.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand SEL's footprint in Iberia and through Southern Europe partners.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key internal and external stakeholders.
* Support customers with purchase order preparation, including product configuration, Engineering Services scope definition, and pricing information.
* Develop and maintain 12‐month order forecasts, reviewed on a quarterly basis.
* Identify and execute strategies to secure breakthrough orders with underserved or new customers.
* Proactively manage the sales pipeline to meet or exceed forecasted orders.
* Deliver high-quality customer service and informal technical training through telecommunications and on-site visits.
* Contribute to product specifications, technical documentation, and sales literature.
* Participate in SEL marketing and sales initiatives, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
* Maintain and continuously enhance knowledge of all SEL products and solutions.
* Provide training and knowledge transfer to customers, partners, and SEL personnel.
* Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data within SEL systems.
* Continuously identify, measure, and improve sales, marketing, and engineering quality processes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales, strategic sales, or technical marketing, preferably in power systems, energy, or electrical infrastructure.
* Proven track record in strategic sales with significant customer and executive-level exposure.
* Strong understanding of power systems and electrical engineering concepts.
* Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across regions and functions.
* B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
* Strong technical training and customer engagement capabilities.
* Ability to travel regularly.
* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take on increasing responsibility.
* Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.

* Spanish: Advanced / Native (required)
* French: a plus
