Job Summary
In this global role, you’ll manage and supervise VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions, supporting a complex and fast-moving aviation business
Your Responsibilities:
* Supervise 3rd party service provider for timely and accurate preparation and submission of indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, sales/use tax) across multiple countries.
* Provide strategic Indirect Tax advice on leasing arrangements, M&A activities and joint ventures and divestments
* Act as the key liaison during Indirect Tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
* Partner with commercial, procurement, and legal teams to assess the indirect tax impact of contracts and international transactions.
* Ensure compliance with evolving global indirect tax regulations
* Identify and support automation opportunities and enhance tax processes within ERP systems like SAP and preparation for e-invoicing and e-reporting requirements
* Monitor indirect tax risks and implement strong internal controls and documentation practices.
Qualifications and Competencies
* 5–8 years of experience in indirect tax. ideally with inhouse experience in a large multinational company.
* Strong technical knowledge of global VAT/GST rules and indirect tax issues in cross-border business operations.
* University degree in Taxation
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and tax engines (e.g., Vertex).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex international tax matters.
