Brand Manager Oncology
The Brand Manager primary role is to lead the development and operationally manage the implementation of the product-specific marketing strategies for the Oncology business in Daiichi Sankyo Spain assets – pre and post launch – in line with the Brand Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Brand Team with focus on cross-functional collaboration and the right implementation of the Brand Plan.
* Act as ambassador for the overall Oncology marketing strategy with focus on cross-functional collaboration and the implementation of marketing activities.
* Contribute to the development of local launch strategies and objectives and ensure flawless execution of initiatives (offline and online) that provide value to our customers.
* Actively participate in business dialogue meetings on local and national level.
* Facilitate the development and implementation of the overarching Oncology business & marketing strategy (budget & tactical plans) and contribute actively at EU level.
* Drive the cross‑functional brand planning and budget process (including the definition of CSFs and KPIs).
* Ensure the right level of support for the customer-facing roles (e.G. materials, digital programs, CRM rigor, enabling support).
* Act as PMO for specific company initiatives and projects at cluster and pan-European level.
* Deliver master marketing promotional items that best suit customer needs for all brands in close collaboration with the European Marketing functions.
* Proactively identify emerging new customer needs and translate them into tailor‑made solutions and relevant initiatives using both qualitative and quantitative data.
* Support analysis, planning, execution, sharing of best practice, and insight generation related discussions.
* Develop strong relationships with identified target customers on the basis of trust and perceived added value.
* Support development and drive implementation of a tactical customer‑centric stakeholder engagement plan in alignment with the cross‑functional team.
* Proactively monitor relevant activities at Country level and adjust the engagement plan as needed.
* Analyze complex sales and market data and discern trends for forecast input.
* Ensure budget tracking and control.
* Drive identification of scientific/commercial materials required to effectively conduct scientific exchange.
* Maintain an expert understanding of all relevant clinical information for the brand.
* Drive marketing programs, trainings and initiatives, ensuring compliance with local Code of Practice and internal policies.
* Identify risks and opportunities, understand competitor activities, share competitive intelligence broadly.
Skills and Qualifications
* University Degree in Science/Pharmacy.
* Strong experience in pharma marketing, at least 3‑5 years.
* Experience launching multi‑indication products in Specialty Units, preference in Oncology and breast cancer.
* MBA or postgraduate qualification in Marketing.
* Ability to analyze complex data and gain relevant insights.
* Strategic mindset and results‑oriented focus.
* Strong project management skills.
* Innovative and creative.
* Passionate about new technologies and digital transformation.
* Broad knowledge of medical affairs, market access and pricing/reimbursement responsibilities in the Spanish pharma environment.
* Hands‑on style, proactive approach, willingness to “pitch in” to get things done, accountability.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Experienced in matrix organization, cross‑functional collaboration.
* Aptitude in influencing, gaining consensus and overcoming resistance.
* Native Spanish and fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Position is office‑based in Madrid, willingness and ability to travel.
