Founded in 2006, TAKE ENGLISH is a prestigious English language academy in Seville, with a great reputation in several popular neighbourhoods in the eastern part of the city. With 2 centres, and has taught now thousands of students, and it is an authorised University of Cambridge preparation centre and a registered Trinity College examination centre.
The position is in our Centre 1, Amate. In a lively neighbourhood, 2 minutes walk from the metro line, Amate station, which will connect you with the city centre in 7 minutes (alternatively there are options to travel easily by bus or with the city's public bike network).
For the rest of this academic year 2025/26, and future, we are excited to be able to offer a good part-time opportunity in which you'll teach English to children, teenagers and adults using a practical approach focussed on developing our students' skills and helping them gain confidence listening to and speaking English through the use of games, music and creative activities.
We offer a 17 teaching hours (23,50 in total) contract, from Monday to Thursday afternoons only (optional additional work may be offered, such as morning classes, workshops or private tuition). For a 17 contact hours contract, you will receive a gross-monthly wage of 1,044, with fully paid Christmas, Easter, local, regional, national and generated holidays on completion of the course.
With a fantastic team of 14 teachers and administrative staff, and we pride ourselves on our great working atmosphere and our many students whom all our teachers say are so much fun to teach! Our senior teachers and administrative staff are on-hand to provide continued support throughout the course and we are constantly kept up to date with the latest trends in education and the English-teaching industry!
JOB DESCRIPTION
The job consists of giving classes to students in a group, with a maximum of 10 students. The classes should always be dynamic and fun, where there are always games or activities that are fun and attractive for the students. All our classrooms have a whiteboard but with a projector and laptop, and all students have a textbook and activity book. All the teachers have all the teacher's material which greatly facilitates the preparation of the classes.
The teacher, alone in the classroom, will have a great deal of autonomy in their classes, although they will work under the guidance of the coordinating teacher, helping in the development of the contents established in the centre. The teacher will be guided by didactic guidelines, such as: the selection of specific content or methodological indications, for example: on the use of English/Spanish in class, guidelines for correcting homework, approach to work with games, work with songs, indications on pronunciation, etc.
There will be no tutorials throughout the course, but will only have 2 tutorials with parents during the year, which will take place on assessment days.
Teachers can prepare the lessons at home and are not obliged to come to the school in the morning for that. In addition, they have a good number of non-teaching hours in their contract. The academy normally holds a control meeting once every 5 weeks, which takes place from Monday to Thursday in a versátil timetable agreed with the teacher, always trying to respect our 3-day weekends.
The most important principle of Take English is our concern for the quality of our teaching. To this end, we consider training and observation practices to be fundamental: we hold several training sessions throughout the course (always in working days), as well as peer observation + feedback sessions, which help us a great deal to learn and progress from our mistakes and virtues.

Qualifications
- CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL certificate
- Native level skills, fluency and accent
- Two years' experience teaching young learners and/or teenagers

- Good organisational and planning skills
- EU passport/work permission
Salary and Benefits
- From Monday to Thursday, only afternoons.
- Contract of 17 contact hours (23,5 in total) per week (not inc. optional extras). (optional additional work may be offered, such as morning classes, workshops or private tuition).
- For a 17 contact hours contract, you will receive a gross-monthly wage of 1044, with fully paid Christmas, Easter, local, regional, national and generated holidays on completion of the course.
- 17 contact hours contract = 1044 euros gross (Around 975 net, depending on the withholdings and circumstances of each employee).
- Teachers who stay on for a second and others courses will probably receive increments in salary.
- We enjoy lots of holidays, they all paid, at Christmas, Easter, Feria, local, regional, national bank holidays and gained holidays on end of course.
- We also help in finding accommodation in the town.
