The Portfolio Management team oversees every solar and BESS project across various funds in the UK, Italy, the US, Chile, Spain, Portugal, India, and Poland, supporting the growth of NextEnergy Capital funds. Positioned within the Group's investment management division, the team manages all solar projects owned by the Group’s investment vehicles in collaboration with WiseEnergy, the Group’s asset manager.The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and evolving management strategies for each fund's portfolio, focusing on solar PV and energy storage systems globally, with particular attention to Iberian Countries and Chile.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage specific assets or portfolios, ensuring the delivery of the investment case.Support the handover of acquired or internally developed projects across different geographies, ensuring coordination among investment, construction, ESG, fund management, and asset management teams.Manage key project contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, throughout the investment lifecycle, in coordination with senior team members and the Investment Team.Draft and review contracts, incorporating necessary legal clauses to protect the business.Oversee information flow into internal and external reporting processes.Act as Director of SPVs for assigned assets/portfolios if required.Oversee technical, financial, debt management, and commercial activities of WiseEnergy to optimize asset outcomes, comparing performance against contractual scope.Regularly meet with WiseEnergy to identify risks and discuss action plans.Report to senior management and stakeholders as needed.Support and collaborate with WiseEnergy on activities outside routine operations.Review and comment on periodic performance reports from WiseEnergy.Assist in negotiating operational contracts and selecting contractors.Identify operational improvements and report them to senior management.Review budgets, monitor variations, and analyze costs, especially regarding cash flow.Own financial outcomes of assets/portfolios, including budgeting, revenue, and OPEX strategies.Identify risks and activities to report during stakeholder meetings.Analyze long-term portfolio performance trends and develop short- and medium-term plans.Support strategic projects and liaise with WiseEnergy’s team for implementation.Identify operational contract improvements and provide feedback.Collaborate with internal teams such as investment, energy sales, construction, and procurement.Train and manage Junior Portfolio Managers if applicable.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

3-5 years of experience as an asset or portfolio manager in renewable energy, preferably solar.Experience managing solar assets in Iberia and/or Chile, with market knowledge.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, or related fields.Understanding of contracts.Knowledge of Italian language is desirable.WHAT WE OFFER
