About the role:
As a Risk Analysis Intern you will report to the Senior Manager, Risk Analysis and be located at theat the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyeswith a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a part-time and paid internship from October 2025 (6-8 months), with the possibility to receive course credit.
As a Risk Analysis Intern you will support Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA) for nuclear power plant systems; evaluate a plant's potential vulnerability to all risk and hazard types (seismic, fire, flooding) for a variety of domestic, international, and new-design plants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform PSA tasks for a variety of hazard types using software tools such as RiskSpectrum and CAFTA
2. Review plant operating procedures, system/layout documents, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cable routes, and other material to understand plant systems and operation
3. Perform database population/management and data analysis tasks using a variety of tools
4. Perform code validation testing activities
5. Work with global project teams by contributing to technical scope execution, including documentation of analyses and meeting schedule and financial goals
Qualifications:
6. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Energy, Nuclear)
7. Fluent in Spanish and English
