You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the financial analysis of the bank’s exposures to public, semi‑public, and private counterparties—including local authorities and their affiliated entities, public institutions, sovereign states, public financial institutions, special purpose vehicles, corporates, PPP/concession companies, and sponsors—in both domestic and international markets, analysts will play a key role in the assessment of credit risk and the determination of internal credit ratings. The scope of activities primarily covers international markets.
Skills And Attributes For Success
* Strong financial analysis: critical reading of public‑sector financial statements and corporate financials (IFRS/French GAAP), ratio analysis, working capital requirement assessment, and cash flow analysis.
* Project finance fundamentals: understanding of SPV cash‑flow waterfalls, DSCR/LLCR, debt sizing, covenants, reserve accounts, security package, and risk allocation in concession/PPP structures.
* Sovereign / quasi‑sovereign risk: ability to assess implicit/explicit support and institutional frameworks.
* Corporate & sector analysis: review of business models and competitive positioning (utilities, transport, social infrastructure, energy), sensitivity analyses, and cross‑country benchmarking.
* Documentation mindset: familiarity with term sheets/loan documentation, covenant packages, guarantees and, for bonds, key clauses in bond documentation (indentures).
* Modelling & data: excellent command of Excel; comfortable building/auditing simple cash‑flow models; ability to handle large datasets and produce cross‑country comparisons (Power BI/SQL basics are a plus).
* Credit writing: clear, well‑structured and well‑argued credit memos, including recommendations (borrower/obligor rating, outlook, key risks/mitigants, early warning indicators).
* Languages: professional working proficiency in English; French, Italian and Spanish are a plus.
* Education: Master’s degree (business school, engineering school or university) with a specialization in finance, public economics or risk management.
To qualify for the role
* 1–2 years of experience in similar roles (financial analysis, audit, risk analysis, etc.)
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a specialization in Finance
* Advanced level of Excel
* Proficiency in English (working language used 100% of the time)
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Fluent in English.
* French is a plus.
* Experience in international environments.
* Power BI / SQL knowledge
