Role Overview
The Certified Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional, therapeutic, and restorative bodywork services to clients of the Oasis Premium Recovery Centre. This role supports clients undergoing addiction recovery, burnout rehabilitation, and mental health–focused wellness programs. The therapist provides high-quality, personalized treatments in a calm, safe, and confidential environment, ensuring a premium experience and alignment with the centre's holistic philosophy.
The ideal candidate is professional, discreet, emotionally intelligent, trauma-informed, and capable of adapting treatments to client needs and sensitivities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Treatments & Therapeutic Work
* Provide a range of professional massage therapies, such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage, Relaxation Massage, and other approved modalities.
* Conduct initial assessments to identify client needs, contraindications, and areas of focus.
* Tailor massage sessions based on recovery stage, stress level, physical condition, and medical recommendations.
* Maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene in all therapy practices.
* Ensure the atmosphere in the treatment room supports healing (lighting, music, ambience, materials).
Client Experience & Communication
* Deliver a warm, calm, and supportive experience aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients while maintaining strict confidentiality.
* Recognize signs of discomfort, emotional distress, or trauma response, adjusting sessions accordingly.
* Provide recommendations for ongoing wellness support (stretching, hydration, self-care routines), when appropriate.
Coordination & Administration
* Maintain accurate appointment records, session notes, and client wellness logs.
* Communicate with the Centre Manager, Wellness Director, psychologists, and support team regarding client needs (while respecting confidentiality rules).
* Report any concerns about client wellbeing following internal protocols.
* Manage inventory of oils, linens, consumables, and treatment supplies.
* Ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to centre standards.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
* Work closely with the broader wellness and recovery team to provide integrated care.
* Participate in weekly team meetings and case reviews when required.
* Adapt treatment approach based on medical or therapeutic feedback provided by external licensed professionals.
Requirements
Qualifications
* Certified Massage Therapist qualification from an accredited school.
* Valid professional registration/licensing as required in Spain or the EU.
* Additional certifications (sports therapy, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, craniosacral therapy, or similar) are a strong advantage.
Experience
* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a spa, wellness centre, medical environment, or private practice.
* Experience working with clients dealing with stress, fatigue, physical tension, or emotional difficulties preferred.
* Background in premium/luxury hospitality is an advantage.
