GMV is looking for a highly motivated AEROSPACE ENGINEER or TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEER, or equivalent, for its activities in the areas of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) and Space Traffic Management (STM), including R&D tasks, software development and related engineering and operational activities. GMV is a leading company in the space sector in particular in SST and STM. As an engineer, you will work on specific projects related to Space Surveillance and Trackingwith opportunities to switch teams, location and project as GMV grows and evolves. SST and STM are becoming more and more relevant topics in the space sector due to the need to manage the traffic of the population of objects orbiting the Earth, both space debris and operational satellites, which is growing rapidly nowadays and is expected to increase even more dramatically due to the launch of mega-constellations. In particular, in relation to this vacancy, GMV is increasing its activities related to passive radio-frequency sensors for Space Traffic Management. Within this area, very relevant aspects are the deployment of antennae from signal reception, the processing of the signal from different satellites, either payload or telemetry, the correlation of the signal received by different antennae, and the estimation of orbits of Earth-orbiting objects based on the observations derived from the signal processing and correlation. You willbe integrated in GMV's SST and STM multidisciplinary team located acrossseveral countries, with several projects currently on-going. In particular, you will join the team taking care of SST/STM activities atEuropean level from Spain, both for the development of SST systems and theexecution of studies.
