What You Will Do
Based in Dublin, Ireland, the successful candidate will be expected to work in the office 2–3 days per week. Candidates located outside Dublin or Ireland will be required to relocate.
The role is responsible for managing our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, overseeing the entire life span of a product from idea generation, through design and development, to production, service in the field, and ultimately disposal. The position supports all PLM users within the Applied business unit, conducts ongoing training, and facilitates PLM tasks across functional departments. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will be part of a integral team that aligns multiple sites within Applied business and other business units around PLM processes.
As we continue our PLM transformation journey, the candidate will play a key role in continually advancing PLM maturity by staying current with new releases and functionalities of the software.
The role requires both tactical and strategic engagement with the PLM system and processes, integrating people and processes to evolve the user experience and its role in the product lifecycle. The candidate will collaborate across all teams to ensure a seamless exchange and management of product data and the overall user experience.
How You Will Do It
Assist with transition to PLM
- Act as a change agent for the Applied business unit.
- Assist global teams with the preparation of data prior to migration to Windchill PLM, by assessing the current landscape of the current PDM system and developing a migration strategy.
- Serve as the technical lead within the Applied org. for all PLM related activities.
- Represent the Applied org. in enterprise-wide best business practices.
Training
- Develop a training plan for the initial launch of PLM for all users within the JCI Applied business unit and provide continuous training for new functionalities.
Future Planning
- Work with each of the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to determine current and future PLM requirements.
- Monitor industry developments and propose future changes to the PLM platform based on software updates and industry practices.
What We Look For
- 5-10 years’ experience and strong familiarity with Windchill PLM.
- Experience in leading the deployment of PLM in a large multinational organization.
- Experience with engineering change management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor) required; Creo preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) strongly preferred.
- Data mining capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, ability to present. English language is a must.
- Extraordinary organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through on all work.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
