Technical Sales Area Manager – Industrial Automation

Position Summary
Our customers rely on us to help solve their challenging automation problems, including reducing costs, increasing efficiency, ensuring quality, monitoring and controlling processes, and safeguarding employees.
The Technical Sales Area Manager acts as the factory representative who facilitates the sales, marketing and applications of Banner products within the assigned territory. The position location is flexible within the Iberian Peninsula but preference will be given to candidates located near industrial hubs such as Burgos, Basque Country, Zaragoza, etc.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager Iberia.
What You’ll Be Doing
Develops and implements a territory sales plan to achieve sales growth targets.
* Creates relationships and grows business with national and international strategic accounts and provides technical support.
* Evaluates and monitors territory performance and identifies new business opportunities.
* Collaborates with the sales teams and management of our industrial automation distributors to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
* Works with regional and global corporate resources to develop and close opportunities.
* Maintains the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
What You Bring To The Table
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering (or similar).
* Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, applications, or pre-sales roles in industrial automation.
* Strong knowledge of control systems, sensors, actuators, PLC environments, and industrial communication protocols.
* Experience working with sales channel partners
* In-depth knowledge of the local market OEMs
* Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus.
* Willingness to travel within the region (up to 50%).
