BI EngineerWe are currently supporting one of our clients — a growing international B2B SaaS company in the travel tech industry — in their search for a talented and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer. This person will play a key role in helping the organization scale, optimize, and streamline internal processes and performance.Our client is a well-established and fast-scaling tech company headquartered in Barcelona, with teams spread across several international hubs. With a strong presence in the hospitality sector, they focus on building digital products that enable hotels to improve guest experiences and increase direct revenue.They are part of a larger global group in the travel technology space and operate in a highly collaborative, data-driven environment. The company has recently entered a new phase of growth and is expanding its analytics and BI capabilities to further support strategic decision-making.The BI Engineer will join the Data & Analytics team, playing a crucial part in turning large volumes of data into actionable insights for various departments such as Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Finance. This is a cross-functional role at the intersection of data engineering and business operations.Key areas of focus include:
- Enhancing data usability and reliability.- Supporting leadership teams with meaningful metrics.- Analyzing user behavior to inform commercial strategy.- Building out robust reporting tools and operational KPIs.- Ensuring clean data during strategic projects like M&A or due diligence.Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows.- Build and improve dashboards and automated reports to support operations.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize workflows using data.- Define and track business KPIs, from product adoption to operational metrics.- Ensure data quality across systems and maintain proper documentation.- Act as the main point of contact for data insights across business teams.Requirements- 2–4 years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, or Analytics.- Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with large-scale datasets.- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Retool, etc.- Familiar with ETL tools and orchestration platforms (e.G., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran).- Strong understanding of business processes in SaaS or tech-driven environments.- Bonus:
