The Thermal Works LLC team invites a detail‑oriented professional with a foundational knowledge of HVAC to work directly with our team and local contractors. The ideal candidate will manage preventive maintenance, respond to emergency calls, and support the commissioning and servicing of all Thermal Works equipment. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, trustworthiness with confidential information, and agility in a rapidly changing environment.
We focus on delivering integrated cooling systems for data centres and commercial buildings, significantly reducing energy demand, water consumption and cooling costs. Key Responsibilities
* Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works’ U.S. headquarters.
* Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.
* Conduct on‑site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
* Perform all preventive maintenance and service tasks for clients.
* Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
* Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.
* Collaborate with different departments for product development and improvement.
* Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
* Travel 75% of the time within Spain.
Skills & Requirements
* Technical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems (e.g., Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Mantenimiento de Instalaciones Térmicas y de Fluidos in Spain).
* F‑Gas Category I Certification (in accordance with EC Regulation No. ********) is required for handling fluorinated gases.
* 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical systems for mission‑critical infrastructure, including data centres, healthcare, or industrial facilities.
* Experience with chillers and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, covering installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with EU safety standards, pressure equipment directives (PED), and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.
* Capability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and system optimizations in live environments.
Specific Skills / Abilities
* Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
* Knowledge of hydronic systems.
* Proficient HVAC system troubleshooting.
* Understanding of refrigeration theory and hands‑on applied sciences.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer‑service emphasis.
* Fluency in English and Spanish (additional European languages are a strong plus).
* Ability to read basic drawings.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
