Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time constraints of material-handling projects. They ensure that commissioning activities follow correct methods and standards to meet customer requirements.

Tasks and Qualifications: Main Job Objectives: To commission controls systems on-site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and support system test activities and end-user training.
To produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments in accordance with BS EN ISO 12100.
To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
To ensure systems supplied are CE compliant with the Machinery Directive.
To commission safety-related parts of control system solutions per regulations and standards like BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain a professional company image through honest and attentive service.
Build good relationships with internal and external customers.
Coordinate with other departments, customers, and subcontractors.
Adhere to Dematic standards and policies.
Promote continuous improvement in processes to enhance project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience: HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
Experience with PLC commissioning is advantageous but not essential.
Understanding of automated warehouses is desirable.
Hands-on electrical commissioning experience.
Exposure to PLC, HMI, or SCADA development is a plus.
Ability to interpret electrical manuals and drawings.
Good understanding of bus systems; control systems knowledge is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
Full driver's license required; role can be home-based.
