Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Connectivity Team works to provide the best-in-class service. We are Tech Core, and we own the game. Our mission is to build a platform that guarantees an optimum, efficient, flexible, resilient, and secure access to our systems, anywhere, anytime.
- The role, as part of the Global team, will be involved in activities associated with the product life cycle (design, delivery, operation, and end of life) focusing on programs that will provide connectivity security solutions to Data Center, Offices, and Retail Stores.
- The Senior Platform Engineer will participate in transversal tasks guiding service partners and vendors to ensure successful project execution. A focus is on automation and standardization of our environment, ensuring security by design.
- The incumbent should have a background in large-scale, multi-vendor connectivity environments, with 3-5 years’ experience in supporting complex regional and global networks, preferably in Retail and Logistics sectors. The role involves working closely with offshore and global vendors to optimize solutions and support models.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, engineering, and architecture of Network security Products.
* Selection of technologies, tools, and techniques for projects/programs.
* Review requirements and specifications, define test conditions.
* Assessment, analysis, planning, and design of work orders for projects/programs.
* Lead deployment of work orders, coordinating stakeholders.
* Ensure project/program delivery quality through acceptance tests.
* Investigate system, process, and service problems.
* Support configuration and testing of network security devices.
* Identify operational needs and recommend improvements.
* Assist in defining acceptance tests for improvements.
* Gather information for change, problem, or incident management.
* Maintain records and advise on actions taken.
* Support implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
What we are looking for:
* Four-year college or university degree in IT or equivalent experience.
* 5-7 years of progressive work experience, with at least 3-4 years in IT Connectivity/Network Security role.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
* Technical skills include experience in network security, certifications like CCSE, CISSP, and knowledge of security technologies such as next-gen firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, SASE/SSE.
* Additional skills include enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN connectivity configuration, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, documentation, and team collaboration.
