At Nexus Publishing, we partner with indie studios worldwide to bring their games to global audiences. Our work spans digital distribution, marketing, porting, QA, and localization. We are now expanding our localization network and looking for experienced linguists to collaborate with us on upcoming projects.
Open Roles
We are seeking freelance professionals for the following positions:
* Localization Specialists
o Translate and adapt in-game content from English/Spanish to the target language.
o Ensure consistency with terminology, style guides, and cultural context.
o Handle placeholders, tags, and in-game references with precision.
Proofreaders
* Review and polish translations to ensure grammatical accuracy and fluency.
* Check consistency with terminology, style guides, and in-game content.
* Collaborate with localization specialists and project managers to maintain quality standards.
LQA Testers
* Test localized games in the target language to identify linguistic and functional issues.
* Report bugs, inconsistencies, or mistranslations accurately using in-game testing tools.
* Work closely with localization and development teams to ensure a polished final product.
* Languages: Spanish (Spain), German, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese
Additional pair: Spanish - English (target)
Requirements
* Minimum 2 year of proven experience in video game localization.
* Native-level proficiency in the target language.
* Strong understanding of gaming culture, terminology, and style adaptation.
* For LQA: experience with in-game testing tools and bug reporting.
