Sector Highlights Transmission & Distribution

With the growing demand for renewable energy, your work will help ensure clean energy reaches homes, businesses, and even international markets through interconnectors to Europe. You’ll be directly involved in the design of critical infrastructure that supports the transmission of low‑carbon energy.

Thermal Generation

Support the evolution of thermal energy assets to meet modern demands with efficiency and sustainability. You’ll help optimise performance, reduce emissions, and ensure operational excellence across diverse technologies. You’ll work closely with experts to provide clients high‑value technical support through all phases of development.

Bridges and Civil Structures

Join our Bridges and Civil Structures teams and contribute to innovative projects ranging from small bespoke designs to major global infrastructure. You'll work on sustainable bridge design, advanced structural analysis, and emerging technologies, while learning from industry leaders and helping shape the future of infrastructure.

Geotechnical Engineering

Join our global Geotechnics Practice and work alongside over 600 ground engineering professionals. Your work will span desk studies, ground investigations, digital data modelling, and geotechnical design, contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions across a wide range of specialisms including foundations, slopes, earthworks, and environmental geotechnics.

Tunnels

Join our Tunnels team and become part of a welcoming, supportive environment that prioritises your growth. You'll work on diverse tunnelling projects in our transport sector, contributing to broader infrastructure initiatives while developing skills in project and design management.

Water

Join our Water Division, a centre of excellence tackling climate change, ageing infrastructure, and population growth. You’ll contribute to safe, sustainable water systems for generations to come, designing pipelines, water and wastewater treatment facilities through feasibility, outline, and detailed stages.

Candidate Specification

At Mott MacDonald, we’re looking for curious, motivated graduates who want to make a real difference. Join our purpose‑driven teams where your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your work enhances the world we live in.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a bachelor’s or master’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or be expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:

* Civil Engineering
* Geotechnical Engineering

Please note candidates must be able to speak both fluent Spanish and English to be eligible for these opportunities.
