About the Role : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Associate to play a key role in implementing and managing NetSuite across our finance department. This position is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background and high-level experience with NetSuite Financial, Revenue Management, and Billing modules. The Accounting Associate will support the NetSuite implementation team, ensuring system integration, supporting accounting processes, and optimizing system functionality to meet company needs.
The role is based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Our company is among the few accepted into the Canary Islands Special Economic Zone (ZEC Canarias), highlighting our focus on technology and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
1. NetSuite Implementation Support : Assist in setting up, configuring, and implementing NetSuite modules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into system configurations. Ensure NetSuite aligns with financial and accounting processes.
2. System Configuration & Maintenance : Configure and maintain NetSuite modules, ensuring efficiency and proper integration with other systems.
3. Financial Data Analysis & Reporting : Generate reports, analyze financial data, and support financial statement preparation. Identify system improvements for better reporting accuracy and efficiency.
4. Training and Support : Provide user training and ongoing support for NetSuite, especially in financial modules.
5. Billing & Revenue Recognition : Oversee NetSuite Billing module for accurate invoicing and billing. Ensure Revenue Management module is correctly configured for revenue recognition according to policies and standards.
6. Process Improvement : Continuously review and enhance financial workflows within NetSuite, identifying automation and upgrade opportunities.
Qualifications :
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
* 2-3 years of experience in a finance/accounting role, with at least 2-3 years of experience supporting or implementing NetSuite Financial, Revenue Management, and Billing modules.
* Experience in a technology-focused company, preferably B2B SaaS or software.
* Deep understanding of financial reporting, revenue recognition, and billing processes.
* Strong NetSuite configuration and customization skills.
Technical Skills :
* Proficiency in NetSuite Financials, Revenue Management, and Billing, focusing on system implementation and process optimization.
* Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
Knowledge & Skills :
* Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS and financial processes.
* Ability to translate financial needs into system requirements.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
* Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications :
* NetSuite certification (e.g., NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant).
* Experience with other ERP systems or financial management platforms.
* Familiarity with multi-currency and multi-subsidiary NetSuite configurations.
