We are looking for an Ontology Engineer to join our team and work 100% dedicated to a project for one of our top pharmaceutical clients. You will play a key role in designing and building the semantic foundations of a large-scale, data-driven platform that supports operational processes, automation, and AI-driven use cases in a highly regulated environment.Ontology Engineer will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining ontologies and semantic models that power an Enterprise Knowledge Graph focused on operational domains (services, processes, systems, and data).This is a foundational role, involving close collaboration with business stakeholders, data platforms, automation teams, and AI initiatives to ensure shared meaning, consistency, and scalability across systems.Main Responsibilities- Design and develop enterprise ontologies representing operational domains such as services, processes, workflows, tasks, and system interactions- Translate complex business concepts into scalable semantic and ontology-based models- Define and maintain RDF/OWL schemas and semantic standards- Implement and manage ontologies within a Knowledge Graph platform (e.G. Stardog or similar)- Support ingestion and semantic enrichment of structured and unstructured operational data- Collaborate with automation, data, and AI teams to embed semantics into workflows and solutions- Establish and maintain a shared operational vocabulary across teams and systems- Contribute to ontology governance, versioning, documentation, and best practices- Ensure alignment with data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements typical of pharma environmentsRequirements- Proven experience in ontology engineering and knowledge graph design- Strong hands‑on knowledge of RDF, OWL, and SPARQL- Experience working with knowledge graph platforms (Stardog or equivalent)- Ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders- Experience in regulated environments (pharma, healthcare, life sciences, finance, etc.)- Familiarity with data platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems- Self‑starter mindset, comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving contexts- Strong communication skills and ability to explain semantic concepts clearlyNice to have- Experience supporting AI/ML or automation use cases with knowledge graphs- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum environments- Experience in large, global enterprise projects#J-18808-Ljbffr
