Mission and responsibilities:
As a Legal Counsel, you will be part of the Legal Team, working with stakeholders (Product, Fraud, Risk, IT, Compliance, etc.) to handle all legal matters related to Openbank's activities in Spain and abroad.
Legal and regulatory:
* Provide legal advice related to the bank's operations, supporting various departments (retail banking products and services, consumer loans, insurance, wealth management, payment services, etc.).
* Participate in designing, obtaining approvals, and monitoring the launch of new products and services.
* Review and adapt marketing materials to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
* Draft and review legal documents such as client agreements and communications.
* Advise on the implementation of new regulations at European and national levels.
* Handle administrative procedures before public registries.
* Contribute to digitalization and innovation projects.
Requirements:
* Experience in banking legal environment, from law firms or in-house roles within financial institutions.
* Degree in Spanish Law; fully qualified lawyer in Spain.
* LLM in Banking Law is a plus.
* Excellent judgment, proactive, innovative, and customer-focused.
* Team player with strong collaboration and people skills.
* Proven experience in regulatory matters, banking/investment products, remote contracting, and consumer protection laws.
* Advanced MS Office skills.
