Job Title Regional Legal Counsel, EuropeSummary We're looking for an experienced lawyer to join the team supporting the Airline IT business of Amadeus in Europe. Reporting to the Head of Airline IT (Legal) for Europe, you will provide legal and contractual support to the Airline IT business on complex, high-value outsourcing agreements. You'll have daily exposure to our customers and Amadeus senior management. If you are a UK (or other common law jurisdiction) qualified lawyer or have proven knowledge in English contract law, this role is for you Key Responsibilities 1. Provide transactional support Provide legal support for Europe to enable sales teams to achieve their financial, strategic and operational objectives by providing solution-oriented, responsive and commercially-practical legal advice, while containing legal risks and exposure to the maximum extent possible; Identifythe risks involved during contract negotiation, escalate to the relevant stakeholders and obtain internal approvals; Draft, negotiate and interpret a wide variety of commercial issues and technology contracts with airline customers (varying in nature, complexity and value) and work on all phases of deals, from proposal/bid review to final negotiation, escalation to senior leadership, and post-contract support; Assist in advising management on legal risks, including preparing reports on risks for large deals; Adopt anenergetic, pro-active and practical approach to your work, adding value by creating strategic solutions to legal issues. 2. Provide post-contract support Analyze and advise on interpretation of signed customer contracts; Investigate claim merits and manage settlement of claims; Prepare contractual documentation required for post-signature upsell (contract amendments etc). 3. Enhance focus and advise commercial teams Support knowledge sharing and training of sales and commercial teams. 4. Support in the preparation of contract templates and internal procedures Support the drafting of template documentation and negotiation guidelines; Maintaincontract documentation and guidelines to ensure they are up-to-date with legal developments, industry best practices, and Amadeus policies (coordinating with internal stakeholders as appropriate). About the ideal candidate: University degree in law from a common law jurisdiction (e.G. UK, US, Canada, Australia); OR a university degree in law from a civil law jurisdiction with extensive post-qualification experience negotiating contracts in common law jurisdictions; Senior professional with at least 8 years of experience, including top-tier private practice experience in a transactional role; Strong commercial outlook and highly developed stakeholder management skills; Strategic mindset, as well as legal approach to the law and likes working in a fast paced, challenging and competitive environment; Proficient inEnglish (speaking and drafting). Other languages such as French and Spanish are preferred; In-houseexperience in a multinational corporation will be a plus; experience in IT/outsourcing (preferably SaaS), preferably on the IT supplier side.
