About The Rol
the person seleccted will proactively assess and tackle risks across the supply chain, sector, and production planning for SEAT, VW Navarra, and VW Portugal, anticipating issues like supplier bankruptcy, raw material surges, and stock shortages. also, will drive supplier alignment with sustainability goals (S-Rating) and ethical standards, leading audits, enforcing compliance, and supporting legal actions to secure a robust and responsible supply base. Additionally, will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement long-term, risk-mitigating strategies.

what we expect from you?

- Resolve queries about the financial ratings of suppliers, which come through buyers and analyze through different sources the nominability or not of a supplier, returning the result to buyers.
- Research, analysis of the financial and cash situation of potentially nominatable suppliers.
- Define the Purchasing Risk Management strategy.
- SEAT Lead: communicate to brands the irregular situation of suppliers and take the first measures to avoid impacts on distribution and negotiation with suppliers.
- Analyze risk in groups of companies. (e.g., companies that spend a lot of energy, impact on companies that have a potential bankruptcy or insolvency) and put measures in place to minimize the impact on the distribution chain.
- Negotiation with suppliers to minimize the impact on supply risks.
- Insolvency Proceedings: reach agreed solutions, monitor the company in close contact with the assigned insolvency proceeding administrator and judge. Keep an active portfolio of investors, in order to solve problems in suppliers that enter bankruptcy. In certain cases, SEAT may assume the costs or look for new suppliers.
- Power of attorney to sign contracts for price increase agreements, financial injection or purchase of molds.
- Ensure that all the company's suppliers comply with SEAT's Sustainability regulations. through the SUSI platform. (where the suppliers hang all the documentation).
- Participate in Group or SEAT meetings to adopt sustainability policies in Procurement.
- Veto on potentially nominative suppliers, for financial or sustainability reasons (decides which suppliers can provide service to SEAT).
- Decision on the strategy to follow with suppliers: continue working with them, support them financially so that they continue working or stop working with them. (In support cases, analyze the economic amount of the support).
- Decision on suppliers who perform malpractice. Analysis of complaints that come in due to malpractice and decision-making on the continuity or not of the relationship with the supplier.
- Decision on hiring alternative suppliers, before suppliers who financially cannot continue with us (Business case: on what to do with suppliers, help, deny their continuity and give alternatives).
- Guarantee the supply of parts to SEAT and to the VW GROUP.
- Guarantee sufficient alternatives to minimise the impact and continue with the supply of parts in case of unpredictable risks (fires, floods, force majeure).
- Ensure suppliers comply with sustainability guidelines.
- Responsible for the quarterly risk report to the CE.
- Avoid lawsuits (Extra-procedural agreements) and ensure that in the event of lawsuits from suppliers the procedural impact is as minimal as possible (through the preparation of the company's defense arguments in the face of this complaint). Company representative at all levels before suppliers).
- Member of the committee SSC as permanent menber and veto right.
- Lead of the "Comite de insolvencias" (26 Mio).
- Responsible for the Grievance Team Meeting: Management of cases of complaints to suppliers for malpractice (they come independently or through audits).
- Risk Management Monthly Meeting ( Grupo VW).

Requirements

- Academical background: Law, Business Management, Economics
- Languages: Proficient in English, German is a plus
- Procurement Analytics Ability to collect, interpret, and visualize purchasing data to identify trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Risk Assessment Tools & Methodologies Familiarity with tools for evaluating supplier risk, geopolitical exposure, compliance issues, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
- Contract Management Systems Experience with digital platforms for managing supplier contracts, tracking obligations, and automating renewals or alerts.
- Familiar with Data Analysis & Visualization tools.
