Reliability and Quality Architect - IoT & Cloud Services (d/f/m)
What We Expect
* Lead the automation strategy for IoT device-to-cloud communication (message ingest, real-time processing, event distribution, business logic, persistence, observability)
* Define and enforce testability standards for device onboarding (authentication, provisioning, connectivity, configuration, assignment)
* Design frameworks for protocol testing, mocking, and virtualization of IoT and cloud service integrations
* Develop strategies to detect performance bottlenecks, concurrency issues, and timing-sensitive failures in distributed event-driven systems
* Validate reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance of IoT-to-cloud pipelines, including resilience under message loss, retries, throttling, and firmware provisioning updates
* Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates, covering code quality, cost-aware deployments, and compliance checks
* Ensure observability validation for IoT-to-cloud communication and cloud services (logs, metrics, traces, dashboards)
* Promote standardization of cloud service testing practices across teams
Who we are looking for
* Experience with cloud and IoT services such as Azure IoT Hub, Event Hub, Stream Analytics, Service Bus, Functions, Cosmos DB, or equivalent services on other cloud platforms
* Knowledge of messaging protocols including MQTT, AMQP, and HTTP
* Experience in test automation using frameworks such as Robot Framework, pytest, Postman/Newman, or Pact
* Experience with service mocking and simulation using cloud service virtualization, protocol simulators, or feature flags
* Experience with CI/CD and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, SonarQube, and Allure Reports
* Familiarity with practices such as contract testing, quality gates, fault injection, and cost-aware testing strategies
* A strong passion for software quality and continuous improvement
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork
* Curiosity to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving environments
