In this role, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, construction, and marine
installation teams to ensure that Health, Safety & Environment standards are consistently applied
throughout all phases of the project. You will act as a key partner to operational teams, with a strong on-site presence across project locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day HSE support across onshore manufacturing facilities, construction activities, and offshore cable installation works.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety walks to ensure compliance with internal HSE standards and applicable legislation.
• Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective
actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training for project staff and subcontractors.
• Review and approve RAMS, method statements, lifting plans, environmental plans, and work
permits.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, analyse safety performance, and prepare periodic reports for project and
regional HSE management.
• Support environmental compliance, waste management, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Promote a proactive safety culture focused on engagement, hazard awareness, and continuous
improvement.
• Contribute to HSE planning for current and upcoming offshore grid and cable installation projects.
Requirements
• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role within the offshore industry, high-voltage cable installation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and international standards (such as ISO 45001 and
ISO 14001).
• Experience working within large, multi-stakeholder project environments.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence contractors and
operational teams.
• Relevant certifications such as VCA-VOL, GWO, NEBOSH/IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
