Offer Description
First. - Initiate the selection process for the recruitment of 1 Senior Laboratory Technician, in accordance with the criteria, requirements and selection system set out in the attached Annex.
* Processing and genotyping of samples from ischemic stroke patients.
* Maintenance of the transgenic animal colony and its genotyping.
* Preparation of culture media, reagents, and buffers necessary for conducting experiments.
* Support in experiments involving biochemical and molecular biology determinations and performing routine laboratory techniques.
* Experimental support in cell culture
* Assistance in experimental surgery in mice for the induction of cerebral ischaemia (MCAO)
* Preparation of adeno-associated viral vectors
* Animal behaviour testing
Specific Requirements
1. Be a Spanish national, a national of a European Union member state, or a foreign national with a residence and work permit in Spain.
2. Hold a Higher Technical Diploma in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technology (FPII) or equivalent.
3. Official Certificate in the Handling of Experimental Animals (Category B).

Additional Information
* Contract type: Permanent contract (Article 23. Bis of Law 14/2011 LCTI). Full-time: 35 hours/week. Probationary period: in accordance with the Workers' Statute.
* Remuneration: €1,576.27 gross per month, including the proportional part of two extraordinary payments.
* Research project: PI24/00810 Deciphering metabolic reprogramming in brain repair and its impact on stroke prognosis.
Eligibility criteria
1. Curriculum assessment of merits and abilities (0-25 points). Candidates with more than 10 years of experience as a laboratory technician (especially in the field of neuroscience) will be particularly valued. The average grade point average, experience in genotyping, DNA isolation, in vivo experimental models, animal behaviour testing, animal handling and treatment, immunohistochemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology techniques will be assessed.
o Curriculum Vitae. Academic record and other merits (publications, projects, conferences): 5 points
o Training courses (animal models, microscopy, etc.): 10 points
o Professional experience in research support (especially in neuroscience): 10 points
2. Competency-based interview: (0-20 points). In this phase, candidates will present the information contained in their CV and supporting documentation, with particular emphasis on aspects such as leadership skills, proactivity, teamwork, analytical skills, planning, organisation and results orientation.
Candidates with a certificate of disability equal to or greater than 33% will have their final score increased by 2 points.
Selection process
The selection process will be governed by the principles of publicity, equality, merit and ability, and a selection committee will be set up for this purpose, made up of representatives from the research group and the IBSAL Technical Management Unit.
The selection process will consist of two phases:
1. Analysis and evaluation of all applications received, classifying them based on how well the CV matches the established profile and meets the requirements.
2. Personal interview: the three candidates with the highest scores in Phase 1 will be invited to interview, provided that their score in that phase exceeds half plus one. The selection panel may propose that the call be declared void if no candidate is suitable for the position.

* Publication of the decision on the admission of applications, with a list of those admitted and those not admitted according to the minimum requirements, and a period of 5 calendar days for the submission of appeals.
* Publication of the decision with the detailed provisional assessment and a period of 5 calendar days for the submission of appeals.
* Publication of the final decision with the final assessment and the award of the place within fifteen working days from the deadline for the submission of applications.
