External collaborations & institutional partnerships manager (tres cantos)

Position Summary

You will represent the organization in national and international R&D; collaborative fora, strengthen our institutional footprint, and shape funding and partnership opportunities across the scientific ecosystem. Working closely with national agencies, international funders, and internal R&D;, Legal, Patents and Business Development teams, you will help maximize strategic alignment, secure resources, and build impactful research collaborations.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include:

- Represent the company at national and international forum and working groups on collaborative R&D; and funding.
- Strengthen institutional relationships with major national R&D; bodies
- Sustain active engagement with national funding networks and agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with international funders.
- Support assessment, development and planning of new external R&D; collaborations.
- Contribute to evaluation of new funding programmes.
- Represent the company within governance bodies of large multi-partner collaborations.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a corporate representative in scientific and institutional networks.
- Expand the company’s presence in national and international funding ecosystems.
- Conduct early assessments of potential joint projects.
- Support planning of non-standard collaboration frameworks.
- Contribute to proposal writing and review.
- Liaise with Legal, Patents, BD to streamline evaluation of collaborations.
- Participate in internal forums coordinating external collaborations.
- Provide strategic input on opportunities and risks of external R&D; initiatives.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid role based in Spain with periodic travel.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in collaborative R&D; environments, funding programmes, or institutional relations.
- Proven ability to engage with governmental, academic, and international stakeholders.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to analyze funding frameworks and collaborative models.
- Strong Spanish and professional English.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with national and international funding bodies.
- Background in scientific collaborations or public–private partnerships.
- Experience drafting R&D; proposals or agreements.
- Familiarity with large multi-partner consortia.
- Experience working in multicultural teams.
