CIB BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking provides large companies, multinationals, and financial institutions with various solutions in advisory, financing, transactional banking, capital markets, settlement, clearing, and custody of securities, asset and fund management services, and solutions for corporate issuers. It has 620 professionals in Spain with offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and Coruña. The entity has a network present in 56 countries.The VP is a member of the Coverage Team and reports to the Head of Corporate Coverage Iberia. He/she works closely with Managing Directors to manage and develop global relationships.Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship
Maintain and develop client relationships.Liaise with Managing Directors on client activity and potential issues impacting the global relationship.Take full ownership and leadership on selected clients.
Origination / Commercial Coordination
Secure revenue increase and monitor profitability of the portfolio.Manage and expand the Bank’s flow banking business.Supervise and stimulate domestic and international network relationship managers’ commercial actions.Manage origination and execution of transactions.Coordinate with Managing Directors on origination efforts related to non-CIB products and services.Support Managing Directors in event-driven mandates (M&A, ECM, etc.).Lead client action plans in coordination with Product Partners.Ensure data collection tools are updated.
Risk Management
Contribute to credit reviews and requests, validate and present to Credit Committees.Monitor credit risk actively.
Resource Management
Ensure consistent allocation of financial resources based on guidance from Managing Directors.
Compliance & CSR
Support in clearing compliance hits.React to significant customer situation changes.Enforce BNP Paribas CSR & Compliance policies and procedures.
Conduct
Ensure appropriate and suitable business conduct with clients.Act in a product-neutral manner in the best interest of clients and BNP Paribas Group.Respect the BNP Paribas Code of Conduct.
Participation in Setup
Support and participate in building and maintaining networks with team members, Product Partners, and Regions.Engage in transformation initiatives and ensure their sustainability.
