At SEGULA Technologies, we are looking to hire several Design Release Engineers to join automotive projects based in Zaragoza. The Design Release Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end management of component development (depending on scope: mechatronics, interior, closures, lighting, glazing, etc.), acting as a technical interface between suppliers, engineering teams, and the project, ensuring compliance with timing, quality, and technical requirements.
This is a key position within the industrialization process development, involving a high level of international coordination.
Main responsibilities:
* Manage component development within the project (planning, milestones, deliverables).
* Coordinate technically with suppliers: monitor progress, risks, and action plans.
* Ensure supplier quality management following APQP / PPAP methodologies.
* Track and resolve development issues (ISSUE / ECR / Change Management).
* Lead technical meetings (design reviews, convergence meetings, project follow-ups).
* Validate technical documentation: CAD (2D/3D), BOM, PCP, specifications.
* Align supplier timelines with overall project planning.
* Participate in validation phases, prototypes, and product launch.
* Perform technical feasibility analysis, industrialization, and cost optimization.
* Manage and track documentation using PLM tools.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive, or similar).
* Previous experience in the automotive sector, ideally in roles such as Design Release Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Development Engineer, or similar.
* Strong understanding of automotive product development processes.
* Experience working with suppliers in an international environment.
* Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and change management (ECR/ECN).
* Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and models (2D/3D).
* High level of English (international environment).
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of PLM tools (Teamcenter, etc.).
* Experience in industrialization or product launch phases.
* Knowledge of failure analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, DFMEA).
* Upper-intermediate level of French.
