Senior Technical Asset Manager (Wind solar). brVelto Renewables (Velto), a Pan- European IPP backed by La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Senior Technical Asset Manager to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the Head of Asset Management and the Portfolio Managers. brVelto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse's 25% investment in London Array, one of the world's largest offshore wind farms. Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tons of CO2 emissions each year. brThis role will perform technical asset management activities for offshore wind farm UK-based together with a regulated solar PV operating portfolio in Spain. brThe successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing energy production and revenues, identifying cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring the availability, transparency, and actionable use of information across both solar and wind technologies. brResponsibilities brAsset Management Technical Oversight brLead technical asset management activities for the assigned wind assets, while supporting solar PV technical management activities. brOversee and manage the day‐to‐day relationship with Service Providers (Asset Management and O M), ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations. brMonitor and manage third‐party service providers (insurance providers, market agents, etc.). brDevelop a detailed understanding of SPV‐level contracts, including O M, asset management, grid, land, and commercial agreements. brSupervise compliance with technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory requirements. brReview and challenge Service Provider policies, procedures, and processes to ensure contractual, procedural, and legislative compliance. brReview monthly operational and maintenance reports, identify underperformance or contractual deviations, and define corrective actions. brConduct plant inspections and assess technical condition, availability, and reliability of assets. brMonitor and oversee cybersecurity compliance related to asset operations. brEnsure strict compliance with HSE requirements and effective claims management. Performance, Analytics Optimization brDefine, monitor, and report on technical and economic KPIs across wind and solar portfolios. brPerform in‐depth performance analysis, benchmarking assets internally and externally. brPrepare regular performance and portfolio comparison reports, highlighting value drivers, deviations, and risks. brIdentify and implement technical, operational, and contractual optimization initiatives. brSupport the evaluation of lifetime extension, repowering, and optimization options, particularly for wind assets. OPEX Cost-control focus brLead OPEX monitoring and cost‐control activities across managed portfolios. brIdentify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving asset performance and reliability. brMonitor asset revenues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to explain variances and risks. Stakeholder Management Strategic Support brAct as technical interface with key stakeholders, including O M providers, market agents, landowners, regulatory bodies, and suppliers. brMaintain regular interaction with UK‐based partners and customers, particularly for offshore wind assets. brSupport technical M A activities, including due diligence, technical assessments, and integration planning. brContribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal reporting frameworks and asset‐management tools. Competencies brStrong, demonstrable understanding of wind energy technology – offshore wind preferred, onshore wind accepted with deep technical experience brSolid understanding of solar PV technology and regulated projects (RD 413/2014 experience required) brGood understanding of legal concepts governing Asset Management and O M contracts brExcellent command of written and spoken English (C1/C2 level minimum) – this role requires direct interaction with British customers, partners, and peers on a regular basis brExcellence edge – a relentless drive for quality and continuous improvement in everything you do brAutonomous and proactive – ability to develop own workstreams and work across many different functions brStrong aptitude to learn complex concepts (tax rules, energy policy, financial structures, corporate structures, business models, etc.) brGood team player with outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) brHighly analytical personality – comfortable extracting and analyzing large amounts of data; brAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, data validation) to analyze operational data and build reusable dashboards. brPower Point proficiency to synthesize technical information into clear, executive-ready presentations (narrative structure, visual clarity, speed of execution). brHands-on experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Planner) to track schedules, milestones, and resources in O M environments. brPractical SCADA experience extracting and interpreting time-series data (trends, alarms, performance curves), focused on efficiency, availability, and forecasting reports – not system administration or brValid driver's license Education and experience brBachelor's and-or master's degree in relevant discipline (Engineering or similar); brBetween 4 and 10 years' experience within the renewable energy industry working in the implementation and/or asset management/O M projects; brDemonstrable experience working with wind assets (offshore wind farms highly appreciated); brDemonstrable experience working with PV regulated assets; brTechnical knowledge of other renewable energy technologies is appreciated;
