Position
Full-time Variety Specialist Breeding at our station in El Ejido.
Responsibilities
Product development for different cucumber types, contributing to the definition and continuous improvement of the portfolio.
Support and further development of the breeding program adapted to Mediterranean climate conditions.
Coordination and follow-up of trials, including planning, execution and evaluation across different locations.
Phenotyping and data collection to support selection and breeding decisions.
Data-driven analysis and team-based decision making in close collaboration with breeding colleagues and other departments.
Active collaboration with other Rijk Zwaan subsidiaries and willingness to travel for trial follow-up and market interaction.
Requirements
Degree in Agriculture.
At least 5 years of experience as a Technician or in Product Development, preferably within breeding or horticultural environments.
Proactivity and self-motivation.
Know-how of product development.
Good communication skills.
Affinity with data analysis.
Good knowledge of Spanish and English.
