Job Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Shift Lead with a background in operations and manufacturing in chemical plants to report to the Senior Manager of Operations. The role involves leading production activities during the shift to ensure safe, efficient, and quality‐compliant output aligned with operational goals.
Responsibilities
Execute manufacturing activities, ensuring product quality and throughput.
Lead a proactive safety culture, enforce regulations, identify risks, and maintain a zero incident environment.
Manage and coordinate the team of operators and technicians.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, work procedures, and quality controls.
Monitor process performance, address deviations, and ensure production plans are met.
Act as subject‐matter expert (SME) for machinery operation, first‐line problem solving, and minor maintenance.
Train and mentor operators on processes and safety.
Maintain production quality and support pilot plant or ramp‐up simulations.
Propose process improvements and cost reductions, reporting outcomes.
Qualifications
Technical degree in chemistry, industrial engineering or related field.
More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations or pilot plants, ideally in the chemical sector.
Demonstrated leadership in team coordination and management skills.
Solid understanding of process safety and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making skills in uncertain environments.
