Regional Sales Director – Spain & Portugal (Reproductive Genetics / IVF)
We are seeking a Regional Sales Director with a strong background in reproductive genetics, assisted reproduction (IVF), or clinical diagnostics to lead our commercial strategy across Spain and Portugal. This leadership role is critical in accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge genetic technologies within fertility clinics and laboratories through the development of strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy & Execution
* Design and implement tailored sales strategies for the Iberian assisted reproduction market.
* Drive the adoption of advanced genetic solutions (e.G., PGT, genetic screening, carrier testing) across fertility clinics, hospitals, and laboratories.
* Identify business opportunities and niche markets, collaborating closely with the marketing team to effectively position our product portfolio.
1. Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of clinical sales specialists with deep IVF sector expertise.
* Set ambitious yet realistic sales targets for the team and ensure performance tracking.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, commercial excellence, and customer-centricity.
2. Strategic Client Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with medical directors, embryologists, geneticists, and procurement leaders in fertility clinics.
* Lead complex negotiations, including framework agreements and tenders.
* Ensure an outstanding client experience from initial engagement to service implementation.
3. Market Intelligence
* Monitor scientific, regulatory, and technological trends within reproductive genetics.
* Analyze competitor activities and gather market insights to support strategic decisions.
* Participate in industry congresses, trade shows, and professional networks.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with medical marketing, operations, regulatory affairs, and technical support teams.
* Ensure effective knowledge transfer from the commercial team to scientific and post-sales support teams.
* Coordinate with regional EMEA leadership on broader strategies.
5. Reporting & Forecasting
* Prepare commercial reports, including performance analysis, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates.
* Present results to senior management and contribute to strategic planning.
Professional Experience:
* Minimum of 7 years in healthcare commercial roles, with at least 3 years in genetics, IVF, or molecular diagnostics.
* Proven leadership in sales teams and business growth.
* Deep understanding of the reproductive health ecosystem in Iberia, including clinics and labs.
Core Competencies:

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
* Strategic business acumen with strong analytical skills.
* Proficiency in CRM and analytics tools.
Educational Background:
* University degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Genetics, Pharmacy, or related fields.
* Postgraduate qualifications (e.G., MBA) are a strong asset.
Languages:
* Fluent in Spanish
* English (highly desirable)
* Portuguese
Mobility:
Willingness to travel regularly across Spain and Portugal, and occasionally attend international meetings or conferences.
