Job Description:
The Accommodation Consultant (AC) will work directly with employees and senior leadership to provide accommodations. The AC will serve as the primary contact for employees during the accommodation and workplace adjustments process. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a customer service focus aligned with Amazon's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform accommodation reviews to ensure compliance and support employee requests for safe and productive assignments.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on the accommodations process and disability laws.
* Coordinate the accommodation process and manage cases from start to finish.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and finalize accommodations.
* Work with leave of absence case managers.
* Communicate decisions, disseminate the Job Accommodation Record (JAR), and partner for implementation.
* Educate employees and HR on complex return-to-work and accommodation issues.
* Guide employees to appropriate resources.
* Maintain a high volume of cases with accuracy and timeliness.
* Keep system records updated.
* Provide training to employees, managers, and HR.
* Adhere to SLAs and quality standards.
* Collaborate with third-party administrators, HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments.
* Participate in projects within the DLS program.
* Maintain reliable attendance.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
* Travel as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
* Experience supporting employees with benefits, leave, or employee relations.
* Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of disability access laws.
* Computer operation and database management skills.
* Strong time management and ownership skills.
* Detail-oriented with problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to work across all levels of the organization.
* Experience providing disability consultation and training.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
