As a Contract QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by performing automated, manual, and exploratory testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, report, and troubleshoot issues, helping to deliver robust and scalable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex Node.js environments while developing testing frameworks and strategies. You will collaborate in a dynamic, remote-first environment, helping shape testing best practices and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet both technical and business expectations.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain automated build, test, and release processes
* Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable test scripts
* Evaluate product code against specifications and ensure functionality, reliability, and performance
* Collaborate with QA engineers and cross-functional teams to define and improve testing strategies and plans
* Report bugs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous improvement of product quality
* Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to verify changes
* Drive adoption of tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance testability and code quality
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Automation or QA Engineer, or in a similar role
* Hands-on experience in Node.js environments
* Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, BrowserStack) and performance/load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter)
* Knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile frameworks, and regression testing
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to work in a dynamic, remote-first environment with a focus on client expectations
* English fluency
