Position Summary :
We are seeking a Finance Controller to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. Reporting to the Finance Manager for Europe, the successful candidate will analyze and examine the financial status of our legal entities to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and located in Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Prepare budgets, analyze balance sheets, and generate financial reports to aid management decisions (e.g., P&L, B&S, Cashflow, Working Capital).
2. Design and implement budgeting and forecasting processes.
3. Produce various financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, management reports, working capital, contribution margins, and R&D expenses.
4. Manage accounting closures for one or more European companies.
5. Analyze inventory costing and price variations.
6. Participate in ad-hoc projects such as M&A, investments, mergers, and systems integration.
7. Monitor internal and external audit processes.
Requirements :
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* 5-8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a multinational industrial sector or large audit firms.
* Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written); knowledge of Norwegian is a plus.
* Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
* Strong analytical skills, proactive, organized, detail-oriented.
* Ability to collaborate in a multinational environment and manage multiple priorities.
