Overview
Engineering Manager - Build and Release Infrastructure at Canonical. This is a remote role based in the EMEA region. Candidates will be located within the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
* Grow a high-performing engineering team in your region, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
* Coach, mentor, and provide hands-on career development opportunities to ensure engineers reach their full potential.
* Apply sound engineering principles to solve complex challenges and contribute to the team\'s technical goals.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across teams, management, and external partners to drive alignment and shared success.
* Spearhead the continuous development of Launchpad—the backbone for world-class software like Ubuntu.
* Lead the ongoing development of Launchpad infrastructure used to build and ship software such as Ubuntu.
* Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and cultivate engineering and organizational practices.
* Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work environment aligned with Canonical\'s values.
* Collaborate with the broader leadership team to shape the direction of engineering efforts.
* Enjoy the autonomy of remote work while engaging with global teams, with travel up to 6 weeks per year for key events.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and align across teams and stakeholders.
* Experience driving agile methodologies and fostering adaptability, collaboration, and efficiency in fast-moving environments.
