DATA CENTRE PROJECT MANAGEROpportunityMERLIN Edged has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join its Project Delivery team, working directly with the Project Director on the delivery of Data Center construction and Fit-Out projects for key clients.This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in the delivery of complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects. You will support the Project Director and senior project team across all phases of the project lifecycle, from design coordination and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.The Project Manager needs to be organised, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The right person will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and comfortable working on site as well as in coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting the Project Director in the day-to-day management of Data Center and Fit-Out construction projects.Assisting in the coordination of contractors, consultants, and suppliers on site.Monitoring project progress against programme, cost, quality, and safety objectives.Supporting the review of design documentation and flagging potential risks or inconsistencies.Assisting in the preparation of tender documentation and bid evaluations for consultants and contractors.Helping track project budgets, cost plans, and change control items.Preparing progress reports, dashboards, and project documentation for internal stakeholders.Supporting site activities, including inspections, meetings, and coordination with operations teams.Assisting in communications with utility companies, authorities, and client representatives as required.Promoting compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards on site.Learning and applying Merlin Edged project management processes and best practices.
Skills & RequirementsEducation / ExperienceUniversity degree in Engineering.2–5 years of experience in construction, project management, or a related technical environment.Previous exposure to data centres, critical infrastructure, industrial buildings, or fit-out projects.Mechanical or electrical background will be positively valued.
Specific Skills / AbilitiesStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.Willingness to learn and take responsibility progressively.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.Ability to manage priorities and work across multiple tasks simultaneously.Comfortable working both on site and in an office / hybrid environment.Fluent in English and Spanish
