The MSL will plan and execute local and regional Medical Affairs strategies aligned with global strategies, in partnership with marketing plans. The focus will be on clinical, medical, and scientific information supporting the use of Radiometer products and services.
The MSL will serve as a scientific and clinical expert, facilitating the adoption of the Blood Gas portfolio in healthcare settings. This individual will act as a strategic partner to healthcare professionals, leveraging clinical insights to promote understanding and effective use of our technologies in POCT and central labs. The role also includes advising healthcare professionals on optimizing patient care workflows and improving clinical decision-making through Point-of-Care testing technologies.
This position reports to the Sr. Director, Medical Affairs, and is part of the Clinical, Medical, Surveillance & Safety department. The role is based in Spain and will be remote.
Opportunities in this role include :
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, and healthcare providers.
* Gathering field insights to inform product development and organizational strategy.
* Leading local investigator-initiated studies, collaborating with external experts, managing grants, and tracking research progress.
* Representing the company at medical conferences, advisory boards, and scientific events, supporting symposia, and assisting the commercial team in scientific discussions.
Minimum Requirements :
* Advanced Healthcare Degree : MSc, PhD, or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of experience in the biomedical or IVD industry, including Medical or Clinical Affairs roles.
* Strong understanding of laboratory and Point of Care testing, clinical workflows.
* Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific information.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, with occasional international travel.
* Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or related areas, with the ability to translate clinical insights into technology adoption strategies.
