**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
As an **Operational Due Diligence Junior Analyst **, you will identify and assess the business, fund investment, regulatory and governance risks. This is required for our outsourcing investment management activities to third party managers in the traditional and alternative fund product sectors.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Participate in operational due diligence assessments of new and existing Traditional and Alternative (Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt and Venture Capital) external fund managers, including on-site meetings with fund manager personnel.
- Working closely and effectively with key stakeholders across the wealth and investment management businesses.
- Due diligence activities include a risk-based approach in analyzing and assessing processes, systems, documentation, personnel and overall controls pertaining to the following areas: Fund terms and Governance, Legal and Regulatory, Compliance, Trade Operations, Cash Controls, Counterparty Risk Management, Valuation, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity.
- Document due diligence meeting notes, draft reports and discuss findings with the team prior to finalization.
- Performing on-going monitoring of existing funds on the approved list, reviewing and updating scores as appropriate through the completion of operational due diligence reports.
- Developing and maintaining the fund list of recommended alternative and traditional asset class offerings, including undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities (UCITS).
- Jointly developing and maintaining the operational due diligence platform so that it can continue to support the teams due diligence, record keeping and workforce planning.
EXPERIENCE
- Between 1 to 2 years of experience in areas of due diligence, audit, accounting, valuations, investment risk, compliance, operational risk, manager selection or investment operations
- Understanding of industry standards and best practices relating to internal controls and procedures, risk management, operational due diligence and investment regulations.
- Knowledge of operational best practice in the funds industry.
- Knowledge of UCITS regulatory environment.
- Knowledge in the funds industry.
- Strong understanding of the trade flow of the operations in an Investment Management Firm.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
- Master´s degree is a plus.
- Desirable a professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, CAIA etc.
