Reporting To: EHS Lead/Client Safety Manager

Role Purpose: Provide full site safety, environmental, and health compliance oversight for the ZAZ Projects
Key Responsibilities:
Review/approve risk assessments, safety plans, and permits
Conduct site audits, (inclusive of offsite manufacturing facility), incident investigations, and training
Ensure closeout of safety observations
Ensure compliance with the national statutory Health & Safety requirements for each construction project
Where practicable, implement best practices and lessons learned across each project
Enhance, and improve, existing construction safety management procedures through a visible on-site presence, and through active participation in all aspects of day-to-day Health & Safety management on the projects
Implement a Construction Safety Management Program across each project
Assist on an as needed basis in the development of specific safety programs
Provide an independent review, and oversight, of construction Health & Safety management procedures in place for project; with a view to cross-evaluation of projects, sharing lessons learned / best practice, and driving continuous improvement across the construction supply chain
Assisting in the identification, and management, of high-risk activities at each stage of the projects; including liaising with design teams and working with contractors in forward safety planning and co-ordination of works activities.
Monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessment and evaluation across all construction projects
Reviewing, and assessing, the health and safety implications of changes as they occur during construction projects
Developing, implementing, reporting and communications structures on Health & Safety management performance for each project to enable accurate assessment and evaluation
Actively engaging with all aspects of day-to-day Health & Safety management e.g. attendance, and participation, in – Meetings (both management & personnel as appropriate);
o Training workshops
o Daily Activity Briefings
o Management reviews
Attending planning and coordination reviews, for both day-to-day and longer-term safety planning for work activities
Assisting in the evaluation of effectiveness of Health & Safety planning at site level, e.g. through the assessment of communications with all parties; including contractors, workers, and supervisors
Carrying out independent Health & Safety audits on all aspects of construction management; including
Monitoring compliance between Health & Safety planning and actual work on site
o Assess compliance with agreed KPIs across all project stages
o HRA auditing and inspections
o Communications of Health & Safety at all levels
o Co-ordination of work activities on the sites
o Identification, assessment, and evaluation of high-risk activities
o Training and education
o Reviews of RAMS, safe plans of action, lifting plans, etc.
o Competency of contractors and operatives
Assessment of accidents, incidents, & near-miss reporting, including the evaluation of findings and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive measures
On-going assessment of the resources provided by contractors to enable implementation of the contractor's safety management program
Encouraging, and promoting Health & Safety initiatives aimed at influencing positive safety behavior on the sites
Encouraging, and promoting, contractor participation in structured Health & Safety awards schemes by recognized bodies
Ongoing collaboration and support to the client appointed statutory H&S coordinator role for each project
It is emphasized that the proposed role of the client adviser is intended as collaborative and supporting that of the main contractor. xqysrnh The contractor will maintain responsibility for all aspects of safety management on site.

General Requirements:
Full time senior safety adviser role based on-site at each Data Center Campus location
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior role with formal qualification in health & safety management; with relevant experience in construction Health & Safety management
Extensive experience in contractor communications, and liaising with design teams, and other project professionals
Degree and/or certification in Health & Safety profession
Strong communication skills with associated excellent reporting skills
Strict adherence to all project procedures and reporting cycles
Language skills: English and Spanish
